Some of Bill's most valuable lessons and quippiest comments are below:

  • Don't ever treat anyone differently just because of who they are, where they come from or what they look like (He learned this from his mother).

  • Politeness costs you nothing, but gains you everything.

  • No one can ever take your education away from you.

  • Shoot straight.

  • Nobody wears anything as badly as bitterness.

  • After it snows, always make sure to wipe off your headlights and taillights before you drive

  • Always be firm, but for God's sake, be fair.

  • Don't tell a young adult, "We know what's best for you."

  • "Mamma Mia 2--it sucks.  I haven't seen it, but I know it sucks because I've never seen a good sequel."

  • Plan your life and live your plan, if you can make it happen.  Most of the time it doesn't, but no if's or buts and candy and nuts.

  • Make sure you have the knowledge, skills, mentality and brain power to make a difference.

  • "Life started when I was very young.  I was a baby when I was born."

  • Value your opinions, ideas, thoughts, but value that person giving you theirs if they’re different (no matter how little or more different).

  • "I could not have asked for a better life."

  • Love is the most important thing on earth; Don't lose it, dont push it away.

  • There is more fun to be had.
